"Tech Trends" found this Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL to buy

To give you an idea of how busy the past few months have been, we began testing the Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL even before our Meshify 2 review was published. Similar to how the Meshify 2 was to the Define 7, but with new exterior panels, the Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL is to the Define 7 XL what the Meshify 2 was to the Define 7. However, this model is entirely new to us as we have never tested a Fractal 2 XL case before.

Instead of having only one cage, Fractal Meshify 2 XL has two, which causes a mess underneath the shroud. We removed the cage closest to the power supply to free up more space for cable management; however, doing so necessitates first removing the front HDD cage. Additionally, because the cages are screwed into the case from the bottom, moving or removing them requires turning the entire system over and removing the bottom filter. There is a good reason why Fractal selected this method versus the single thumbscrew method

Up to a 480mm radiator can be mounted on the. Fractal design Meshify 2 XL’s front and top mounts, a 120mm radiator on its back, and a 280mm radiator on its bottom. The rear mount shows that Fractal hasn’t gone overboard with its claims either; a 140mm CLC would fit there, but the majority wouldn’t, thus they’ve wisely decided not to list support. The top and front mounts can both accommodate 480mm radiators, but not simultaneously.

The Fractal design Meshify 2 XL TG case from Fractal Design boldly combines prudence with style in a full-size, high-performance case. The exterior sports an eye-catching finish without any visible fasteners, a fully detachable top panel, tempered glass side panels, a completely redesigned front panel, and a fully adjustable back panel.

The Fractal design Meshify 2 XL TG by Fractal Design is an elegantly understated large-tower box with great performance. The exterior features a screwless surface, an entirely removable top panel, side windows made of tempered glass, a newly designed front panel with USB-C, a hinged mesh panel, and a filter made of removable nylon. You can assemble the inside in whatever way you like because it is both functional and extremely flexible.

A sizable high-performance case with a striking, stealth-inspired design, the Fractal design Meshify 2 XL is huge. Bolt-free, flush tempered glass, a fully detachable top that provides exceptional interior access, and a completely redesigned front that includes USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C are just a few of its remarkable aesthetic features. Full-sized E-ATX and SSI-EEB boards, large storage arrays, and radiators up to 480 mm are all easily supported by the enormous dual-layout interior. In Fractal design Meshify 2 XL Airflow is filtered by real angular mesh structure. Dual-layout interior easily accepts motherboards up to E-ATX and SSI-EEB.

On three sides of the new shell design, the interior is completely visible. In Fractal design Meshify 2 XL the fundamental storage configuration supports up to 18 HDDs and 5 SSD mounts. excellent water cooling with nine 140mm or eleven 120mm fan slots and top- or front-mounted radiators up to 480 mm. Filtered airflow is provided by iconic mesh design, which has a striking, stealth-inspired look. Widely flexible dual-layout interior that is both spacious. Large motherboards up to and including E-ATX and SSI-EEB can be easily accommodated. Radiators up to 480/420 mm (front), 480/420 mm (top), and 280/240 mm are supported by Open Layout (base).

For greater airflow, the nylon filter is simply removed from the mesh panel’s hinge. Bezel without a tether for simpler access to front fan mounts There are three Dynamic X2 GP-14 fans already installed, and there is room for more (maximum 9x 140 mm / 11x 120 mm). Up to 18 HDDs and 5 SSDs can be added as optional accessories in the Storage Layout. Any unused fan spots can be converted to HDD, SSD, or pump mounts using the included Multibrackets. Top-latching panels that don’t require tools enable for rapid access while preventing drops.

FAQs:

There is a panel near the front fan side of the case that has to be moved from the front-left to front-right, which can hold more drives. If you plan to put in all 16 drives then you’ll want to order extra insert mounts (by fractal).

I have bought a lot of these cases and I just looked at all the fans I pulled out and replaced and none of them are PWM fans. I do not believe they come with them.

Given that this is the sole header that receives and sends signals to the motherboard, you need to attach at least one PWM fan to it in order to be able to operate the fans on the hub. It must be a 4-pin PWM device, albeit it need not be the CPU cooler that is connected to the header.

Here are some pointers that ought to assist anyone else using the latest RTX 3080 build in Meshify C: In the case of mounting outside the casing, I advise 15mm thick fans. Even yet, the front mesh panel is being pressed by the fans as it barely fits with the modification.

Reviews & Purchasing Experiences

Jeff Smith purchased this Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL is and review that  Very Flexible, High Quality Case Read many reviews concerning this computer case. What I received exceeded expectations. The number of configurations is many. The level of detail and quality is top notch. I knew it was going to be a big case. And it is for sure. I am building a storage server. The case handles over a dozen HDDs with no problem at all.

FAQs:

A fractal is a pattern that never ends. Fractals are infinitely intricate patterns that resemble one another at all scales. They are made by repeatedly performing a straightforward technique in a never-ending feedback loop.

Both are possible in this scenario. Radiators are all that are required for water cooling, and this case can accommodate two 480 mm radiators on the top and front. I actually use an AIO CPU cooler with a built-in radiator, although using fans alone also works. The radiators simply attach to the case’s fan mounts. You can see what fan sizes and numbers are supported by the fractal website.

Using fractals to generate or enhance designs is known as fractal geometry in design. Fractals are geometric forms that may be broken down into smaller versions of the whole in each of its component components. Fractal geometry in design can be applied to produce more effective designs or more visually beautiful designs.
